About texting

Email is unlimited. Texts are at cost.

Every text costs real money to send, so we pass it straight through at what the carrier charges us. We do not mark it up and we do not make anything on your sends. You top up a balance and only spend it when you actually send something, and the composer shows you the cost as you type.

What it replaces

Doing this with normal software.

Here is the stack you would need to cover the same ground, priced for a comic with about 5,000 fans on their list. Verified from each company's public pricing in July 2026.

Mailchimp

Sends email campaigns to your list. Charges more as your list grows.

In Bigger Draw

$75 / month

Later

$15 / month

ManyChat

In Bigger Draw

Comment to DM, and then it keeps going: it can follow up hours later in that thread and collect their zip.

$15 / month

That stack, every month

$262

Bigger Draw, all of the above

Plus every fan carrying a real location, so a show can target itself

$97

It gets worse as you grow

Most of those tools charge by list size. Mailchimp alone runs about $350 a month at 10,000 contacts. Bigger Draw is $97 whether you have 200 fans or 200,000.

And they still do not talk

That stack does not share a fan list, so work you do in one tool is invisible to the rest. You end up copying between tabs by hand, which is the part that actually eats your week.

About three extra tickets a month covers the whole thing.

The part you cannot buy

Buy all eight and you still cannot do this.

This is not about the money. Every tool on that list is good at its job. Not one of them was built for someone who sells a different room in a different city every night.

One of the eight can target by distance. One.

Mailchimp can segment by distance from a zip, in the US, if you build that segment by hand for every city before every announcement. The other seven have no concept of distance at all.

In Bigger Draw

Add the show. It geocodes the venue, works out who is close enough to drive, and sends to them. You do it once.

To everything else, a zip is just text

ManyChat will store the zip you collect as a custom field and leave it there. It has no built in distance targeting, people bolt on third party tools and spreadsheets to fake it. Later, Linktree, SimpleTexting and the rest do not even try.

In Bigger Draw

A zip becomes real coordinates the second it is typed, and every part of the software can use it.

Even where it works, it stops at email

That Mailchimp segment means nothing to your texting tool, your link in bio, or your ad account. Each one needs the work done again, separately, if it can do it at all.

In Bigger Draw

One fan record with a location on it, and every channel reads from the same one.

Adding a show triggers nothing

None of these have any concept of a room on a date. Booking Cleveland is not an event anywhere in that stack, so nothing happens until you go make it happen.

In Bigger Draw

One click, then it promotes on a schedule: on announce, two months out, one month, one week.

The DM never reaches your list

ManyChat runs a good conversation, that part it does well. But the person it just talked to is a ManyChat subscriber, not someone on your email list or your text list, unless you go wire that up yourself.

In Bigger Draw

The DM collects them straight into the same fan list your shows and texts run off. No wiring, no export.

No map you can book from

You can get a rough location breakdown of your list. What you cannot get is a live map of your actual fans that tells you there are four hundred of them in Texas and you have never played Texas.

In Bigger Draw

Open the map. It is how you pick the next city, and it is a screenshot you can send an agent or a promoter.

You can spend $262 a month and still be guessing which of your fans can actually get to the room.
